Gerardo Valencia, President and Chief Executive Officer 

Mr. Valencia was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of our General Partner, effective July 9, 2018. Mr. Valencia has served as director of the Board and President of our General Partner since March 1, 2018. Mr. Valencia worked for BP p.l.c. from May 1997 until February 2018 in a variety of positions, including retail operations, asset management, business development, and wholesale fuel sales and strategy for different markets around the globe. He was President of ampm, the convenience store subsidiary of BP p.l.c., head of sales and marketing for the U.S. West Coast and, in his last role within BP p.l.c., was responsible for retail strategy and implementation of programs across North America. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor of science degree in industrial and mechanical engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico.

Evan Smith, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Smith was appointed Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of our General Partner in June 2017. He was previously Vice President and Treasurer of CST Brands Inc. since April 2015. He has more than 20 years of finance and capital markets experience, including working as an investment fund manager with US Global Investors, a sell-side equity research analyst with Sanders Morris Harris, and a valuation consultant for Arthur Andersen where he began his career in 1994. Mr. Smith has been a CFA charter holder since 2001 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

George W. Wilkins, Vice President of Operations

Mr. Wilkins was appointed Vice President of Operations of our General Partner in January 2018. He has served as Vice President since July 2014. Previously, Mr. Wilkins was our Wholesale General Manager since March 2012. During that time, he was responsible for growing and developing our network of dealer operated locations. From 2010 to 2011, Mr. Wilkins worked for LUKOIL North America, where he served as Director of Wholesale Operations and Marketing and as Brand Manager from 2004 to 2010. Mr. Wilkins has over 20 years of diverse experience working for major oil companies, including ConocoPhillips as East Coast Marketing Manager and Regional Strategy Manager for Mobil Oil Corporation. Mr. Wilkins holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Drexel University, as well as an Executive MBA degree from Villanova University.

Ken Langston, Senior Director, Fuels and Strategy

Ken Langston was appointed Senior Director, Fuels and Strategy of our General Partner in June 2017. He joined Circle K in November 2009 and since then he has served as Senior Director, National Wholesale Fuels, Circle K’s United States wholesale operation. Prior to that, he spent twenty-four years with BP Products, NA (and its predecessor entities). In his last position with BP as Director of Transformation, he was responsible for AMPM Franchise Development and Operations in the Eastern United States, BP’s United States Branded Dealer business and the divestment of BP’s convenience retail assets in the eastern United States. Prior to that role, he was Director of Company Operations in the Great Lakes, Cincinnati, Atlanta and South Florida markets. Other roles with BP included managing health, safety and insurance for BP’s United Stated retail operations and roles in Merchandising, Marketing and Training. Mr. Langston has been in the convenience retailing and retail fuel business since 1985. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Mike Federer, Senior Director, Legal, and Corporate Secretary 

Mr. Federer was appointed Senior Director, Legal, and Corporate Secretary of our General Partner, effective December 5, 2018. Mr. Federer has over 13 years of legal experience, most recently with Sunoco LP in the role of Counsel, Franchise and Intellectual Property. While at Sunoco, Mr. Federer provided legal direction, oversite and support to Sunoco’s franchised convenience store offering and wholesale fuel operations. Additionally, Mr. Federer worked with Sunoco’s marketing team in the management and optimization of Sunoco’s global intellectual property portfolio. Prior to Mr. Federer’s role with Sunoco, he was an attorney in private practice with the international law firm of K&L Gates LLP, among others. Mr. Federer earned a bachelor’s of science in business administration in Finance from The Ohio State University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
